At Kiezebrink we aim to develop, produce and supply healthy and responsible animal nutrition to the highest level of quality. We think that reliable nutritional information and advice should be available for everyone.
For this reason, we have created an open-source database filled with nutritional information on commonly seen animals in zoos. Using the shared knowledge from professionals within the zoo industry and literature, we have identified each animal’s natural diet and formulated nutritionally balanced captive diets. Making sure that your animals receive the right nutrients is essential in maintaining their health and welfare. Please be aware that our database only serves as an advisory guideline. The most optimal diet is strongly dependent on various factors such as: age of an animal, activity level, seasonal fluctuations and more. Therefore, when changing diets, professional supervision on the health and welfare of the animal is always required. With this database, we aim to provide a service towards zoos, giving them information and additional advice to formulate the optimal diet. For additional questions, please contact us to make sure your animals get the best!
